4GB + 8GB MS Pro Duo (Sony @ CES 2006)
Looks like Sony is dropping the 4GB and 8GB MS Pro Duo to coincide with their new Video service for the PSP in March, 2006. No MSRP at this time, but this post will be edited with that information soon. Obviously, at the inital offering it will be extremely expensive, but after six months it should be at a reasonable cost. Picture after the jump..

Great news!
Well, I always struggled with myself whether to buy the PSP or not. Right now I own the HD-5 Network Walkman and the biggest argument against the PSP was that a) the biggest MS was only 2GB and b) far too expensive. Hmm… now we have the option for up to 8GB but will they be sold that expensive again? If so, the PSP is sadly for me not a suitable and adorable music platform.
Sony! You might be able to beat the iPod Video with the PSP but do reconsider your price policy!
-> SD Cards are cheaper, why?

If you plan on using the PSP JUST for music then you should go with one of the main stream MP3 players of today. The thing about the PSP is that it is a portable media center. The point of having a PSP is utilzing all its functions, which also include Movies, Games, and Web. Also though the price of 1x 8GB Pro Duo chip is expensive, you can pick up a 2GB or 4GB chip for under $100 on Ebay which can store more movies or music than your battery life…
