NEW Sony NetMD Micro System: CMT-M35WM

It has come to our attention that Sony will be putting forth a new line of NetMD micro system on November 21, 2007. The new micro system, known as the CMT-M35WM will be available in three colors: Black, White and Silver; and has an expected MRSP of approximately 37,800 yen (or approx. USD328).
The micro system’s suffix – WM underscore its capability to facilitate direct recording to certain Walkman models* via its USB port. (as shown in the picture below) It is also interesting to note that basic operations of a Walkman while connected (via USB) to the micro system can be accessed using the CMT-M35WM’s remote control.

I just don’t get Sony sometimes… at least put in Hi-MD on a system like this. I guess Japan still really loves their std-MD and ATRAC.
Yep! You got that right. You can still find a wide selection for of MD-LP4 and accessories in Japan. Japan is were MDs have benn very successful and continue to be successful.
Amazing what Sony continues to do to ruin what should have been (and perhaps still could be) a knockout replacement for the cassette tape. Why on earth a cassette tape player yet not HI-MD? Sony again stuffs up! HI-MD? We can only hope.
