earphones looks nice, but they are expensive too
uhm, expensive, curious how these would sound.
the unit looks huge in comparison to the mdr ex90. i´d like to see a comparison for size with other high end iems. pricing is also a bit on the extreme side almost on par with triplefi10s and 100 USD above sf5pros. i wonder what sony warranty policy is for these phones. also, sony pretty much define the 70 usd market with the mdr 90ex so they better deliver massive sq on a 300 dollar device. why no 150 dollar phones for the interim? also, i don´t see a cleaning tool. imagine the filter being clogged by earwax and no way to remove it. disaster.
oh, i am getting this one
When I get it on Oct. 20th, I will try to post comparison between MDR-EX700SL and MDR-EX90SL.
there is an error on spec above.
the frequency range is 4~28,000Hz not 4~20,000.
Thanks for the note.
Not a problem, glad to help.
just bought it from FaSoLa japan Narita airport dutyfree shop for 29,800yen… cheaper than what i have expected.
fall in love with it instantly. solid bass, good clearity and
definitely find the included all sizes earpieces to be very useful(inner part of the earpieces are colour coded for different sizes…cool!!).
I find it to produce louder and better sound than my entry/mid range seinheiser earphones(no chance to compare with the higher end ones yet). Definitely better than any current sony earpones(mdr-ex90lp) and headphones so far.
still find the included leather case troublesome/difficult) to use though. above average built quality… could be better.
score: 8/10
pricey.
