NW-E01x Series to Debut on April 21 with New WALKMAN Accessories
We talked about the new NW-E series a few weeks back. Today, Sony Japan officially announced that the new NW-E series will hit retail shelves (in Japan) on April 21, 2007.

Does anyone know what headphones this model comes with? Some pics seem to display the same headphones that come with the a800 series - if you can get those with a 4gb player for just over US$150, what’s not to like?
The new NW-E01x series will come bundled with the MDR-EX082 13.5mm earphones.
I wonder if Australia is getting these? It wasn’t in the latest issue of Pulse Magazine. O_O
well with this kind of headphones it is a pretty good deal at this price, even tho i think the E00X look better (if they had screen this large), and the buttons on E01X look really cheap =/
These look pretty sweet. Considering all the accessories that are coming out for it as well, it makes it an attractive flash player option. Sony’s move to including better headphones is a most welcome one, as many others give you crap and reduce your listening experience “out of the box”. And that’s what most people keep using.
I do wonder when Sony USA will get this announcement (along with the announcement for the NW-A800 series… nothing yet and they only show the NW-A1200’s on the site, but not available for sale.)
It is sad when today I heard from a Sony Store employee that the company told her that some models would never reach the states, they told her that on her training. I was considering getting one of these or the NW-A80x series but if they are not on the US sonystyle store yet…I don’t think they will ever be.
the nwa80x is available in canada though. I wonder if this one will come to canada soon.

If I’m you, I won’t really believe that saleswoman if I’m you. Even if I know her personally, I’ll only believe 80%, Max.
For 2 Reasons:
1) Some sales they lie, or make up informations they “aren’t sure of” to you so you might make the decision of purchasing what’s in store already.
2) The company policy change from time to time. She might be telling the truth, but there’s no way to tell if her info is updated accord to the SONY USA.
I’m living in Canada, but I’m sure the state will have NW-A800, because in my experience with SONY, Whatever Canada has, USA will get, and Vice versa.
