New Look For ATRACLife
As you can see, we have updated the theme to a design by 5ThirtyOne Design. There will be several tweaks made over time, and this will remain default. Please make sure you click on the “Pull” tab on the upper right for enhanced navigation. Feel free to leave any comments regarding the new look as well as any issues with the new skin (especially useability concerns, suggestions, etc).

Awesome upgrade Chris, the colors are very stylish and the drop-down menu is so good
I thought the graphics card was suffering a meltdown when this first came up.
Makes a change from blues and greys.
It is readable which is the main thing.
I appreciate the kind words. In a way this theme isn’t that great but it grows on you, I think after I put a few more plugins and other tweaks we’ll have a fine site going here.
Hi, well I dont know why you call this a design anyway, cuz I don’t see much of design here at all. just puttin some pics on a dark background, and a pull thing to show more options. I guess anybody’s MSN MySpace is better looking or at least I can call it a some kinda design!
the old one is way way way Better!!!!!!!!!! if it is not that good already!
Sorry, but seems pretty nasty so far - horrid chocolate colour, difficult to find one’s way around - and where are the forums…
Bring back the sanity of the old blue/grey ATRAC Life please…
Who nicked the forum button?
I appreciate that the responses are displayed most recent first.
This color scheme is horrible and almost unreadable for me. Definitely not an improvement from my point of view.
I usually read your info via RSS so there’s pretty much no changes for me
However if you’d like to know - whenever I encounter a white-on-black sorta website, a press Shift-G in my Opera to correct the situation. Dark-on-light just seems to be less fatiguing.
And BTW - I see no “Pull” tab. Is it in Flash or something?
Sasha: It’s javascript.
Others: Thank you for your comments. We will look over styling and see what improvements can bring easier functionality.
Nonetheless, I like this template and it will continue to be customized. Stay tuned.
i like very much te restyle and also the ”pull” button, it’s cool
but i can’t find a way to get to the forum…
Pull the tab and hit the “attrac life colloquium” box to reach the forum.
i liked the old blue…
blue is the better choice..
It’s different, I would have preferred something more along the lines of a sony like product look, ie A series psp etc.
I did prefer the other version, felt more professional, still nice work on the layout. still need to get used to it though.
I like the colour scheme, and fonts!!
However i am finding it a little difficult to anvigate the site.
Great styling though, very techy
Are the forums coming back? Frankly this place isn’t worth a bean without them…
Ok, got to the forums now
I would really appreciate it if I could see when the last response was without drilling down to the responses. Could you put the date of the last response next to the number of responses beside each item?
I definitely preferred the previous version. It was stylish, easily navigable, and much more readable. This revamp is definitely harder on the eyes, and the color scheme has less an effect on the emotions. Almost muddy colors. Still, I come here primarily for the forums and content. Those will always be elite.
Chris don’t give in to the pressure - I see the forums link has popped out from underneath the pull-down menu again
At least it had a nice big button in there…
I say “put it back!”
Seriously the only downer here is the google ads (which we probably can’t drop) and the line of descriptive text above them that looks a little rough around the edges)
I have found that darker colours simply do not work for content heavy websites. The last theme was ideal, presenting the information clearly as balck text on a white background. You will find that inverted schemes (light on dark) are harder on the eye, and lose visitors attention much quicker.
Another fault with this theme is that nothing is set out into clear sections (other than the comments). I personally prefer everything to be easily desinguishable to the eye.
To be somewhat pedantic, I prefer comments to bu ender the article rather than at the side. Its how I, and likely most people, are used to it. Doesnt quite seem right down the side.
my god, the colors are AWFUL, it hurts my eyes just looking at it, and whats with the grey on black boxes and text in the comment inputs? u can barely see where u need to type.
old was way way better, this is just horrible, i dont even feel like browsing the site anymore, let alone COME BACK to it.
