Sony Features New WALKMAN BT Remote
Sony Japan announced today of a new VAIO Bluetooth Audio Remote Controller for its WALKMAN product – the VGP-BRM1D/B. Hey this looks great . who is sending me this remote ???
If i understood correctly we can listen to out songs from far off (like keeping the walkman on the study table )& listening song in the bed ??
That’s right.
“However, the standard version lacks the WALKMAN feature.”
WTF? Typical Sony, killing their own lineup. If they really care about walkman, then put the walkman feature as standard. I wonder if the connector would work with the Vaio pocket, since this is a Vaio product also.
Regardless, a neat idea, especially since the PS3 will have BT also. It would be even better if they can make a BT version of the 40ELK.
OH MY GOSH!! THAT IS PIMPED!!! wish i still had an MD though, cuz I have a flash mp3 now (useless rite lol..). yea, a display would be cool!
Yeah ,I would have been better .If this successful then Sony might release some more like this with LCd display
will that be functional with the nw-hd5??? If so then yummy :p
then again, wtf?? Wheres the screen?? No screen, no thanks.
Yes, it will be.
So , I see this device has a mic , wonder how that´ll work with HI-MD wirelessly.
Also , how is this supposed to be used on the outside along with a walkman unit? I mean , it looks a bit awkward having to take the cradle with you all the time.
So now you will have to worry about battery life of both player and remote. Nothing will replace the quality of wired headphones.
There are 100 reasons not to buy it
This is quite stupid… Aren’t walkmans built to be portable? If they are already portable, what sense does it make to connect it to a wireless transmitter (with battery and/or AC Adaptor) and carry around another portable device (with battery) to connect the headphones. Unless someone is still using a big MZ-R1 (First minidisc model), this device is a waste of money…
Is it possible that this thing can just remote your player connected at your stereo at home?
That is so cool.
Sony is thinking!! This connectors in on all the players from sony and that the possibility to remote it wirelessly!!!
but i dont understand the walkman funktionality….
why to take this thing if i could take the player itself…
but well…cool if theres an audio out at the base station.
