LocoRoco “ロコロコ”Demo Download
In conjunction with the advent of PSP firmware 2.70, Sony Computer Entertainment (Japan) will be offering a demo version of its much anticipated LocoRoco “ロコロコ” – puzzle game (official release date in Japan: July 13th, 2006; US: September 2006). Naturally, the demo will require the new PSP firmware version 2.70 and the demo will be available for download (to PC and then upload to Memory Stick) on April 25, 2006.

Instructions: Create a new folder - [UCJS10041] - within PSP>GAME and copy the LocoRoco Demo file (EBOOT.PBP, 7,782 KB) into the newly created folder accordingly.

Downloaded this demo. I can’t understand a thing of Japanese, but wow, it’s an interesting game… kinda fun and random. Thanks for posting about it.
i saw a video clip of it.. very cute!
I’ve been playing this and showing it to friends. Most people (especially girls) seem to like it. I think it’s a great example of a unique PSP title that’s not simply a port of some existing franchise. It utilizes the PSP’s buttons and is easy to pickup and play.
I also like the fact that the demo game was downloadable (only ~8MB). It certainly shows that the Sony “could” create an online gaming store that sells and distributes content directly to consumers. If anything this demo is a great example of what other PSP developers can do to spread advance buzz about their title.
